After discovering his passion for food, he turned his science knowledge into cooking techniques and started his journey as a chef. Since then he has been featured on The Food Network, built a culinary incubator, and recognized for his work in cannabis culinary arts. Born in Oakland and raised in Los Angeles, Chef Alan found his passion for cooking early on. Having grown up in his parents’ upscale Chinese restaurant, Alan was exposed to the restaurant scene at the age of 3. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, he has since worked at renowned establishments such as Hinoki & the Bird, Republique, and the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Alan is currently the Sous Chef at the Factory Kitchen in Los Angeles.

Though Nima is not a ‘classically trained chef’ he has spent the better part of his life working in restaurants and in the industry. Born and raised in Canada and studying at UW in Seattle, he has maintained a constant foot in the door in the food and beverage industry.
